Does Vidmute require an internet connection?
No. Every conversion happens on-device, so Vidmute works fully offline — even in airplane mode. Nothing is ever uploaded.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
Never. All processing is done locally on your iPhone and your videos never leave your device.
Which formats can Vidmute convert?
Input includes MP4, MOV and M4V. Output includes MP4, MOV, M4V, M4A audio, and GIF. The source format is hidden to avoid pointless same-format conversions.
How do I extract audio from a video?
Pick a video, choose Extract Audio, and Vidmute saves a clean M4A file. You can preview the audio inside the app before exporting.
How do I make a GIF?
Choose GIF, trim the start and end, optionally speed it up and set the width, then preview and save. You can apply the same GIF settings to a whole batch.
Does Vidmute add a watermark to my videos?
No. Vidmute never forces a watermark. You can optionally add your own text or image watermark and set its position and opacity.
